Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Licensed Journeyman/Journeywoman Residential Service Plumber to join our team. This position focuses on delivering high-quality plumbing services for residential properties, including single-family homes, multi-family units, remodels, and ongoing maintenance work. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in residential plumbing systems, repairs, and installations, with the ability to work efficiently in occupied homes while maintaining excellent customer service standards. As a licensed professional, you will diagnose issues, interpret plans when needed, and provide reliable plumbing solutions that meet local codes, safety standards, and homeowner expectations.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and appliances.
Diagnose plumbing issues and perform effective repairs using hand tools, power tools, and appropriate equipment.
Read and interpret basic blueprints, layouts, and schematics for residential installations and remodeling projects.
Cut, thread, fit, and assemble pipes to ensure proper performance and long-term reliability.
Conduct inspections to identify leaks, blockages, and system inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
Work closely with homeowners, property managers, and remodeling teams to coordinate plumbing work smoothly.
Troubleshoot plumbing problems using strong mechanical knowledge and practical field experience.
Assist with residential remodeling projects, including bathroom and kitchen renovations, fixture upgrades, and coordination with HVAC and electrical teams when required.
Safely handle heavy materials and equipment while working in crawl spaces, attics, or confined residential areas.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all safety guidelines and company procedures.
Requirements
Valid Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumbing License with proven experience in residential plumbing.
Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, local codes, troubleshooting, and repair methods.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and basic math for measurements and calculations.
Experience with residential remodeling, maintenance, and service work is strongly preferred.
Ability to lift heavy materials, work in tight spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks safely.
Familiarity with residential safety standards and best practices.
Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus but not required.
Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a customer-focused attitude.
